Nebraska needs to spend the cash on acquiring a corner of Cali or Texas
Nebraska has great facilities already. What Nebraska does not have is easy access to a fertile recruiting territory. Changes in the recruiting game have hurt the Huskers about as much as poor hiring of head coaches since they let Frank Solich go.
The inability to secure as many in-state walk-ons to fill positions on the line, etc., has hurt Big Red.
Don't get me wrong. I am an admirer of Nebraska. Tom Osborne won big by stocking the offensive line with home grown kids and going out to New Jersey to find a stud running back, etc. Much harder to do in the current environment. [Post edited by Tailgate Guru at 12/06/2018 1:33PM]
